Dr. Amit Patil is a Consultant Neonatologist at Aster Aadhar Hospital, Kolhapur and Head of NICU. He also takes care of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in hospital and has vast experience in handling critical patients.

He has completed his medical studies from MUHS in 2009 and post-graduation in Pediatrics from Prestigious JN Medical College in 2012. He pursued a Neonatology fellowship from KLE University in 2013.

He has a post-graduation in pediatric nutrition (Boston University, USA) and Allergy (Columbia University). He is certified from Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) UK and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

He has shown his dynamism in academic & social forum and was elected as President of Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Kolhapur Branch in 2023. He was the youngest president to be appointed and most successful by securing first prize both at national & state level for conducting various social activities. His work has also been appreciated by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra state.

He is passionate about extreme premature infants and has expertise in handling neonates with birth weight of 590 grams. He loves to follow his newborns patients from discharge until the age of 18 and to give them advice for nutrition or required vaccines.
